For those involved in children's, youth, and/or family ministry you've probably heard of D6. If you've read my blog for a while then I know you have. D6 2016 is happening next week and I'm excited to go ... again. There are several reasons for this.

  1. I was asked. I was asked to attend and be a part of the social media team. That means I'll be blogging, posting to FaceBook, Twitter, and Instagram throughout the conference. This may not seem like a big deal to you, but it's a huge honor for me. I want to be involved in this conversation, and this is a way to take part.
  2. I need to keep learning. Because I'm involved in these types of ministries, I need keep learning. Because I don't know everything, I need to keep learning. My problem is I don't know what I don't know. This is why I need to put myself in the presence of others in order to learn. I'm a pastor who still needs to be pastored.
  3. For the sake of fellowship. It's good to be around fellow believers. This is good on a local level. It's also good on a bigger scale. There will be people at D6 that I normally don't get the opportunity to see. Some I know well and others I have yet to meet. Even the introvert in me is (kind of) excited to make new friends.

If you're not going to be able to attend, I'll be posting. I'd be surprised if they don't live stream it. On the off chance they don't, a least you can read about it. You can also follow what these people  have to say about it:
