Life for me has drastically changed in the past 36 or so hours. I went from being bi-vocational; working at Toyota and at Redeemer Fellowship on Friday (and the past 3+ years), to being full-time at Redeemer on Monday (today). I went from 12ish hours a day, 50 - 60 hours a week between both to ... ??? I don't really know, today is my first day.
I've spent most of my Christian experience preparing for this and then waiting (sometimes very impatiently) for God's timing. I've spent the past few weeks reflecting on this thing called "life". And here's what I've come up with:
endings and beginnings;
risk verses reward;
triumphs & trials;
successes, failures, and learning;
expectations and disappointments;
circumstances & opportunities.
In a word, LIFE is about change.
But what hasn't changed? Where can I find hope and peace? I trust in the God who doesn't change (James 1:17). I rest in the God who doesn't leave me or forsake me (Hebrews 13:5). My hope in peace are found in the strength of Lord (Romans 15:13)
Change is good. Change is right. Change is needed. Because without change there can be no growth.
My prayer: Continue to change us Lord Jesus. Grow us and mature us into Your image.
